- Absence phone calls to parents: You will receive an automated phone call if your student is reported absent from school wh en attendance is taken at 9:00 am. Please be sure to be on time to avoid being marked tardy or absent.
- Home Access Center (HAC): For Parents to access student grades, attendance, discipline, and STAAR scores. This can be found on the RRISD webpage. If you do not have login information, please contact the office for assistance.

- 05/22 5th Grade Recognition Ceremony at (8:30-10:00 in the Cafeteria)Signup - Helping Out for Graduation: We do encourage kids to dress up but still follow the School dress code and be comfortable. They are welcome to change afterwards.

- August-JAG Camp is held after new student registration for all new 6th graders to have the opportunity to participate in transition activities. They then receive their schedule, books, and locker. Students have an opportunity to walk their schedule and meet their teachers. Welcome Walk is also held in August. A staff member from Cedar Valley visits every sixth grade household to welcome the student to Cedar Valley.

Smart Score: (After Spring Break, the students will need to achieve a 95% or greater. If they are having difficulty achieving the 95%, they need to ask their teacher(s) for help. Notes: IXL is not taken for a grade; however, not logging on at all during the week will result in going to study hall on Thursdays to work on it.
